Cam’ron To Drop ‘Camdemic’ Album On Independence Day

Cam’ron has been putting in work in the studio during quarantine — not just hitting up parties in Miami and getting into wild encounters with his neighbor. Over the weekend, the Harlem legend took to Instagram to preview a song while announcing an album right in time for summer.

In the short clip, fans see Cam’ron riding in a car with his cousin Suga Dugga, while a new song from the Dipset boss plays in the background. The record has Cam’ron jumping on a beat produced by longtime collaborators The Heatmakerz.

“Me and @sugadugga1988 making that before the month is up, another 50k n***a before the sun come up, a spare $8500 to fix ya mother butt,” Cam wrote in the caption of the post. “#Camdemic July 4.”

Fans were excited to hear the new track and let it be know in the “Oh Boy” rapper’s comment section. Cam’ron’s last musical effort, Purple Haze 2, came right before the pandemic shut everything down. The 16-track album has guest features by Max B, Jim Jones, Wale and more.

While fans wait for the upcoming album, they’ll be siding with Cam’ron in his new beef with embattled relationship expert Derrick Jaxn. Killa Cam took a shot at Jaxn in an Instagram post after the “love guru” admitted to cheating on his wife. Jaxn then posted a tribute to the late DMX, which triggered Cam’ron to diss him again. Jaxn was fed up with the constant disrespect and finally responded.

“Big homie you actin’ like I cheated on you,” Jaxn said in a comment. “This ain’t the type of event to use to voice your hurt feelings about me. Respect this brother’s legacy and his family more than you’re doing right now.”
