J. Cole Teases New Music Through kiLL edward

J. Cole‘s long-awaited The Fall Off album has been teased since his “1985 (Intro To “The Fall Off”)” track from 2018’s HipHopDX Album of The Year KOD. Now via his alter-ego kiLL edward, we may be closer to hearing new music from Cole, potentially from the album.

“Damn been off for awhile but ima make sure we end 2020 something special!” Cole posted on Instagram Stories via the kiLL edward account on Saturday (October 3).

In a follow-up post he added, “Stay tuned hope y’all ready!”

Back in 2018, Cole revealed that kiLL edward was his alter-ego, inspired in large part by his stepfather, Edward. Edward left Cole and his mother, Kay Cole in 2003 not long after she battled substance abuse. Cole previously shared “Lion King On Ice” and “The Climb Back” as a build-up towards The Fall Off.

While fans await Cole’s fifth studio effort, they aren’t waiting to give him his flowers while he’s still here. In his native North Carolina, graffiti artist JEKS teamed up with photographer Jonathan Mannion for a large mural created in Cole’s honor. The mural sits alongside 40,00 square feet of painted walls across 15 acres in Durham, North Carolina.
