Lil Uzi Vert Nearly Brings Fan To Tears With 9th Birthday Shout-Out
Lil Uzi Vert has always been one to engage with his fans. Whether it’s a simple conversation while eating an ice cream pop or offering to pay a fan’s $90,000 college tuition, Uzi makes a concerted effort to connect with his supporters.
On Sunday (January 10), the Philly native did it again when shouting out a 9-year-old fan for his birthday on Instagram.
“Happy birthday, Casey,” Uzi began after cutting off Casey’s favorite “XO Tour Llif3” playing in the background. “I know it’s your 9th birthday. You’re getting older and I know you’re getting older and doing everything you’re supposed to be doing. So I hope you have a special birthday and I will be calling you. Bye-bye.”

Uzi took things a step further than the Instagram video by hopping on a FaceTime call with Casey. The 26-year-old promised to make it to the young fan’s 10th birthday next year who was so surprised at seeing Uzi on the other side of the phone, he nearly broke out into tears and could hardly put words together.
“So tell me, what are we going to do on your 10th birthday,” Uzi said. “We gotta figure it out because I gotta be there this time. I’ll make sure I make time to make it to your next birthday. We’ll figure it out.”
Casey’s mother captured the wholesome footage and thanked Uzi for taking the time to make her son’s birthday special.
“Thank you so much to @liluzivert for making my baby’s golden birthday so fucking special,” she wrote. “thank you to everyone that helped us pull this off and make this virtual party a success!!! i love y’all so much for loving casey!!!! this is now a lil uzi vert stan account and it is not up for debate!”
Uzi has still kept busy on the music side. On January 7, the Generation Now rapper teamed up with Future to throw a party for their “Drankin N Smokin” visual featuring Lil Duval.
