Quavo Promises Much Anticipated Bobby Shmurda Comeback Bars For 'Culture 3'

Bobby Shmurda’s connection to Migos is deeper than Hip Hop. Right in the middle of the respective breakouts in 2014, Bobby and the Atlanta trio developed a strong working relationship and would find time to hang out whenever they were in Atlanta or New York. They recorded a song together and even revealed a ShMigo collaborative album was on the way before Bobby and Rowdy Rebel’s incarceration.

While in prison, Bobby kept a very tight friendship with Quavo, always calling him regularly and asking for advice when he needed it. Upon Bobby’s release, Quavo picked him up in a private jet and had a whole day of festivities planned out for the Brooklyn rapper.

Now that he’s home, fans are waiting for Bobby’s first piece of music as a free man, especially given the rapid pace Rowdy was on when he was set free in December. It may not be a long wait, as Quavo hinted Bobby’s return to the mic might happen sooner rather than later.

During Bobby’s first post-prison interview with GQ, Quavo said a feature with the Shmony Dance creator is “a must” on Culture III. The Migos leader even revealed he stayed up all night with Rowdy Rebel in the studio the day before Bobby finished serving a six-year sentence.

The hype train for Culture III began when Quavo teased the album through various tweets and social media posts. The hype hit its peak when Migos unleashed a trailer for Culture III showing the trio locked away in a compound to record the album. Given their strong friendship and Culture III right around the corner, fans can expect Bobby and Migos to lace them up with some heat in 2021.

It’s been a very long time since the Hip Hop community got any new music from Bobby and the recent uptick in his streaming numbers proves that. According to Billboard, Bobby’s music streams skyrocketed an insane 624 percent on February 23 and 22, the day of his release.

The “Bobby Bitch” rapper is currently seeing 3.7 million on-demand streams on his music as a lead artist and is receiving some plaques while he’s at it. Bobby’s debut EP Shmurda She Wrote has officially been certified gold with “Hot N-gga” going 5x platinum.
