Saweetie Confirms Quavo Breakup: 'Love Isn’t Real When The Intimacy Is Given To Other Women'

It turns out the fan speculation is true — one of rap’s favorite couples, Saweetie and Quavo, have officially broken up. After unfollowing each other on social media, Twitter blew up with breakup rumors and the Warner Music Group artist confirmed the chatter with a pair of Twitter posts on Friday (March 19). In the process, she suggested the Migos rapper had been unfaithful at some point during their relationship.

“I’m single,” she wrote. “I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”

Despite was presumably a painful period in Saweetie’s life, the 27-year-old appears to be in a good place, adding, “I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation.”

Saweetie and Quavo started dating in September 2018 after he hopped into her DMs with a snowflake emoji and made their public debut during New York Fashion Week. Following over two years of social media PDA and “relationship goals,” fans started to think something was awry earlier this week when Saweetie did an interview with her ex-boyfriend (and Diddy’s son) Justin Combs for his new REVOLT show Respectfully, Justin. During their conversation, the Icy Girl said she’d participate in a threesome but only with another man.

“A threesome, right?” she asked. “A threesome, right ladies? I normally talk to men who are cultured, who’s been around the world, who know a lot of people. But because he doing everything right, I’m going to give him the honor of picking the n-gga who we gon’ have a threesome with.”

As for Quavo, he has yet to speak publicly on the breakup.
