6ix9ine Reveals 60-Pound Weight Loss

6xi9ine is opening up about his dramatic weight loss.

Following the release of his album TattleTales in September, the controversial rapper went MIA from social media. Now he explains that his absence was because he was “going through a lot in life” and was overeating, causing him to balloon to 204 pounds. He reflected on his weight loss journey, sharing a series of before-and-after photos.

“SO the real reason I LEFT Instagram and MUSIC for 6 months is because in September I was the biggest I ever got .. I weighed 204 pounds and I was kinda going through a lot in life and I was just constantly eating and eating,” Tekashi told his 23 million Instagram followers.

He decided to take some time away from the spotlight and focus on his health. He shed over 60 pounds and currently weighs 140 pounds. “I told myself to put the music to the side and focus on myself and here I am today 60 pounds lighter at 140,” he revealed.

He did not say how he lost the weight. However, it was previously reported that he had to be hospitalized after overdosing on Hydroxycut, a dietary supplement that helps with weight loss. He allegedly took two Hydroxycut pills and drank a coffee, which “increased his heart rate and caused him to sweat excessively.”

Tekashi also took a brief break from trolling to share some inspiring words with his fans. “IN LIFE everyone needs a break, in the chaos of everything that is going on in your life, tell yourself ‘ I control what happens in my life’ do NOT let anyone tell you that things you want it’s not possible, that’s FALSE! YOU WANT IT GO GET IT ! OWN THAT SHIT !” he said before adding, “I AM AND FOREVER WILL BE THE KING OF NEW YORK CHECK THE FUCKING STATS !!!!!!”

Last week, Tekashi showed off his slimmer physique in the video for his new single “ZAZA.” The clip also features footage from his infamous confrontation with Meek Mill, which prompted the Philly rapper’s lawyers to issue a cease and desist letter demanding the video’s removal from YouTube.
