Roddy Ricch Breaks Silence After Shooting Erupts on Music Video Set

Roddy Ricch is safe after gunfire erupted on set of his music video with 42 Dugg.

Police say three people were injured during the shootout on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 21). According to WSB-TV, officers responded to shots fired in southwest Atlanta around 4 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man grazed by a round of gunfire. It was later determined that Peter Cook, 39, was hurt by debris and not a gunshot.

Antoine Blake, 25, and Vernon Moulder, 29, were shot and hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital. Both men are said to be in stable condition.

Witnesses say around 50 people scattered when they heard gunshots on set of the video. “Everyone started running, trying to get out. Or take cover, lot of places to take cover in there,” said Teresa Lakes, a medic who was on set to screen for COVID-19.

“Anyone that was injured, I laid hands on ’em to make sure they were OK,” she added. “Just glad it wasn’t a lot worse then it could have been…could have been worse.”

On Monday morning, Roddy took to Twitter to assure fans that he was fine. “aint nobody shoot at me. we all good. im juss tryna feed the streets,” he tweeted.

42 Dugg also denied that he was hurt in the shooting. “Y’all stop that fake shit, man. We ain’t been around no gun shooting, none of that,” Dugg said while speaking with Lil Baby on Instagram live. “Real talk, man. We good.”

An investigation into the shooting is underway. Police detained and arrested a 40-year-old man on a drug charge, but he is not considered a suspect.
