Baby Keem Switches To Album Mode Following Kendrick Lamar ‘Family Ties’

With the world now watching, Baby Keem appears to be moving forward with his next full-length project.

On Friday (August 27), the burgeoning rapper gave the world exactly how fluid he and his cousin Kendrick Lamar interact in the studio via the track “Family Ties.”

The highly anticipated song broke Kendrick Lamar’s radio silence following his TDE departure announcement and made good on the fireworks; as the Compton Hip Hop legend promised to have the best album of the year.

With Baby Keem’s performance equally praised, the 20-year-old artist stated how his focus had shifted.

“About to arrange the [Melodic Blue album],” he wrote on Twitter, alluding to his next project.

“no more singles. album time.”

Melodic Blue will serve as Baby Keem’s first project since 2019’s DIE FOR MY BITCH. He’s spent the past two years delivering buzz-building singles such as “Hooligan,” “No Sense” and “Durag Activity” — the latter featuring Travis Scott.

Baby Keem also shared some high-profile from Space Jam 2 star himself, LeBron James on his Instagram Story.

“K. Dot on his bully shiiiiiisssshhh & I love!,” the basketball idol proclaimed. “Oh and this @Keem track is insano!!”
