Rihanna Sings ‘We Are the Champions’ to Celebrate Lakers Championship Win
The Lakers are the 2020 NBA Champions.
On Sunday night, the Los Angeles team defeated the Miami Heat to win their 17th NBA championship. LeBron James and Anthony Davis led their team to a 106-93 victory in Game 6 of the NBA Finals while fans including Rihanna cheered them on from home.
Decked out in Kobe Bryant’s No. 24 jersey, the superstar shared a video of her singing along to Queen’s “We Are the Champions.” Holding purple and yellow balloons and pom poms, she and her Fenty business partner Jenn Rosales put on for King James and the Lake Show during a tailgate party.
“if you ain’t on this time right now…bye,” Rihanna captioned the video, while acknowledging James, Davis, and the late Bryant. “Lebron remains king 💪🏿 Lakers are the champs 💜💛 and Kobe is proud 🙏🏿 A.D thank you! #🏆”

LeBron you told us you would win this championship for Kobe and you didn’t let our boy down.”
Others including Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube took to social media to celebrate the Lakers first championship in 10 years.
