Migos' Takeoff Is Going To 'Space' – & Looking For NFT Owner To Join Him
The Hip Hop community has embraced non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and it doesn’t look like the new cryptocurrency wave is slowing down. The latest rapper to join the growing platform is Migos’ Takeoff, who has big plans for an upcoming NFT collaboration.
On Tuesday (November 30), Takeoff’s new NFT platform, Apes In Space, announced the rapper is plotting a journey into space — and is looking to take one lucky person who owns an NFT with him. According to an Instagram post, the project will kick off with a presale on December 5, with over 2,000 spots available for whitelisted members. The project will then have a public sale on December 6.
“The @apesinspace.io project will take one of their NFT owners to space alongside @yrntakeoff,” the announcement reads. “One lucky owner will get to meet Takeoff in real-life and join him on a journey to space.”

There are question marks over what “space” means, however. Some fans speculate it could be an actual trip into outer space through a company such as SpaceX, while others think it’ll simply a digital journey into the metaverse.
The official Apes In Space website doesn’t clear up the confusion, although it does offer more backstory to the planned “space” trip.
Nevertheless, those landing on “the Moon” with Takaeoff will have the chance to win several extra prizes such as four VIP concert tickets to a future Migos concert, $25,000 in Ethereum and the opportunity to own a piece of land in the metaverse.

“Apes In Space aims to become the fastest-growing community in the crypto space, with every connection in the NFT environment promoting the project,” the website states. “Join our Discord today to reserve your seat on your trip to the Moon!”
It continues, “The Apes In Space team has years of experience in the marketing and digital space under its belt. With Takeoff (1/3 of Migos) as part of the team, the Apes In Space project has more connections in the NFT space than any other collection. We spent months crafting the art of the project and we couldn’t be happier with the final result.”
Meek Mill is also taking a dip into the metaverse. The Dream Chasers boss took to Instagram on November 24 to announce that his next project will be an NFT mixtape. In the IG video, fans see candid footage of Meek and his team get to work.
“Loyalty club starts January 1st 2022 nft mixtape,” he wrote in the caption, teasing a possible release date.
