Quavo Wants To Be The Wesley Snipes To Jack Harlow's Woody Harrelson In 'White Men' Reboot

Quavo currently reigns as Hip Hop’s most celebrated rapper who moonlights as a celebrity basketball star but if the Migos rapper has his way, he’ll be taking those talents to the big screen.

TMZ Sports caught up with Quavo at LAX on Saturday (March 12) and after being reminded of friend and fellow celebrity basketball star Jack Harlow would star in a reboot of the 1992 basketball comedy White Men Can’t Jump, Quavo made a pitch to the filmmakers, put him in as Harlow’s co-star.

“I think they need to call me, so me and Jack Harlow can do it,” Quavo told the paparazzi. “I need to play Wesley Snipes’ role. Huncho and Harlow, let’s do it!”

When asked if Harlow could pull the role off after nailing his first-ever audition, Quavo had all the confidence in the world for him.

“Jack Harlow’s amazing,” Quavo said. “He can do everything.”

The original White Men Can’t Jump starred Woody Harrelson as Billy Hoyle and Wesley Snipes as Sidney Deane, two hustlers who manage to con their way to fast money on the basketball court, all predicated on the opposing team thinking Hoyle couldn’t hoop, much less hoop to the point of being a star.

Huncho and Harlow have known chemistry on the basketball court. In 2021, they soundly defeated 2 Chainz and Lil Baby for Bleacher Report’s OpenRun during an abbreviated All-Star Weekend in Atlanta.

What Quavo does have over Harlow is acting credits. He previously guest-starred on Narcos: Mexico and Atlanta, although both roles were essential him playing a variation of himself.

Charles Kid II a.k.a. celebrated Hip Hip director Calmatic (Lil Nas X “Old Town Road,” Pharrell & JAY-Z “Entrepreneur”) will direct the new film with Black-ish creator Kenya Barris and Doug Hall penning the script. NBA star forward Blake Griffin will serve as executive producer alongside Ryan Kalil and Noah Weinstein through their label, Mortal Media.
