DaBaby ID'ed As Shooter In Trespassing Incident At His North Carolina Estate
Troutman, NC – More details have come to light involving the shooting that took place on DaBaby’s property in Troutman, North Carolina earlier this week.
According to TMZ, the Billboard chart-topping rapper exchanged words with the intruder and shot him in the leg after the person breached a fence surrounding the $2.3 million mansion. DaBaby called 911 and was cooperative with officers once they arrived on the scene.
The Troutman Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on Wednesday night (April 13) and discovered someone with a non-life threatening gunshot wound on the property. The shooting victim was transported to local hospital for treatment.
Troutman town manager Ron Wyatt said DaBaby stays at the home periodically and it’s impossible to stumble on the property by accident. One of DaBaby’s relatives is reportedly listed as the owner of the estate, which is surrounded by a large wall and manned by security guards.
The Troutman Police Department issued a statement about the shooting to its Facebook page shortly after 7:45 p.m. local time when the incident took place.
“On 04/13/2022 at around 1945 hours officers with the Troutman Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 135 Stillwater Road,” it read. “Officers arrived on scene where they found one subject suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The subject was transported by Iredell County EMS to a medical facility for treatment.
“Due to the ongoing and continuing nature of this investigation, no information as to the names of those involved or the circumstances can be released at this time. This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community at large.”
So far, police have made no arrests. All the evidence will be turned over to the District Attorney.
