YoungBoy Never Broke Again's Mother Snaps On Floyd Mayweather Following Pregnancy Announcement
Famed boxer Floyd Mayweather confirmed his daughter Yaya is having YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s baby during a recent interview with Hollywood Unlocked. When asked about YoungBoy once referring to Mayweather as Yaya’s “bitch ass daddy,” Mayweather replied, “It has to do with your upbringing. It starts in the home first.”
He continued, “What I’ve always taught my daughter is this: always be respectful when you’re going to anyone’s home and whatever goes on in your home, don’t talk about it to the world. I look at NBA YoungBoy as a child. I can’t get upset with a kid like that. It could’ve been one of those days for him.”
The Baton Rouge native’s mother evidently took offense to Mayweather’s sentiments and dropped an Instagram Live video addressing the interview.
“He gon’ say it starts at home,” she says in the clip. “But when I heard that, I really ain’t pay no attention to it. Any grown person knows you can raise your children to be the best children they want but they gon’ say what they want. They gon’ do what they want. If Kentrell wanted to say he was a bitch ass daddy, that’s probably how Kentrell felt at that time.
“Don’t blame me for what Kentrell told him. If there’s static, there must be — I don’t, I don’t like that shit. Don’t talk about me. Don’t put my name in your mouth. You don’t know me, Mister. You don’t know me at all.”

Mayweather’s original comments arrived on Saturday (October 31) when he was discussing Yaya’s relationship with the chart-topping rapper — despite the couple’s complicated history. In April, Yaya was arrested on felony assault charges after she allegedly stabbed the mother of one of YoungBoy’s other children. In convicted, she could face up to 99 years in prison. Naturally, her father simply “wants the best” for her.
“If that makes her happy, then we’re happy — me and her mother [Melissia Rene Brim] are happy,” he said. “What I try not to do is be in her personal business because once she’s no longer under my roof, then you know what? It’s between her and her better half.”
YoungBoy’s child with Yaya will mark his seventh child. In July, the 21-year-old revealed he was already the father to four boys and two girls.
