Rare JAY-Z Signed Bottle Of D'USSÉ Sells For $52K At Charity Auction
New York, NY – A unique bottle of JAY-Z’s D’USSÉ cognac fetched a high price tag at a recent auction in New York City.
The rare cognac bottle, released in 2019 to celebrate Hov’s 50th birthday, sold for $52,500 on Friday (March 12). The auction, in partnership with Sotheby’s for their first dedicated spirits auction, donated three one-of-a-kind bottles totaling $508,750 in sales.
Proceeds of the sale of Hov’s rare D’USSÉ bottle went to The Shawn Carter Foundation, benefitting young professionals and recent college graduates looking to launch their own business. The bottle, referred to as “Bottle No. 1” of the D’USSÉ 1969 Anniversaire Limited Edition Grande Champagne Cognac is the lone bottle in the collection which also has Hov’s engraved signature.

Only 50 bottles were issued to mark the Brooklyn entrepreneur and philanthropist’s 50th birthday and were mostly gifted to family and friends. Recently, he once again found a way to up his net worth through brand partnerships and sales. In February, the legendary rapper sold 50 percent of his Armand de Brignac company, which holds his popular Ace of Spades champagne line to luxury goods giant LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
Between business deals with Jack Dorsey of Square, Hov’s also found time to throw jokes at emerging TV stars.
On Thursday (March 11), Roc Nation senior vice president of A&R Lenny S shared a clip of Snowfall star Damson Idris’ interview with Good Morning America. Idris would recall a story where he joined a Zoom call to join the famed photographer and A&R’s birthday celebration, only for Hov to ask him to leave for pulling up shirtless.
