6ix9ine's 1st Post-Prison Concert Cut Short After Fan Snatches His Chain Off

Orlando, FL – 6ix9ine has been laying low on social media but is apparently back to doing live shows. On Friday night (April 23), the polarizing rapper popped up at Orlando’s Tier Nightclub for his first post-prison performance. While performing “GOOBA,” he reportedly jumped off the balcony and into the crowd, which gave fans the chance to paw at 6ix9ine as he rapped.

According to TMZ, 6ix9ine became upset when someone knocked his hat off and grabbed the chains draped around his neck. One of the chains ultimately fell to the ground, but his security reportedly picked it up. Even so, 6ix9ine cut the concert short and took off. 6ix9ine’s attorney Lance Lazzaro says his client was “happy” with his performance and didn’t lose any of his expensive jewelry.

As the rap community is well aware, 6ix9ine was arrested in 2018 on multiple racketeering charges. The Brooklyn native agreed to become the federal government’s star witness in exchange for a lighter sentence. In October 2019, 6ix9ine took the stand in the trial against Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods members Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack and Anthony “Harv” Ellison, helping send them to prison.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 6ix9ine was granted a compassionate release in April 2020 and allowed to finish his sentence on house arrest. Shortly after he was released, the 24-year-old got right back to his outlandish social media behavior until his sophomore album, TattleTales, failed to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Since then, he’s been on and off Instagram taunting his haters.

But on Easter Sunday (April 4), 6ix9ine seemed to have some kind of revelation while on a trip to the Dominican Republic. In a video of himself posing for photographs and kissing a baby, he explained in the caption, “To all my fans I love you … I’m sorry I been away from music. In all reality I’m not happy. The fame and the money doesn’t mean anything to me because it doesn’t bring me joy.

“I say all this because when your chasing your dreams in life remember God comes first. Never lose sight of that. He blesses you in life because he sees the good in your heart and with that blessing you learn to bless others. I will continue my journey to find happiness within myself and find the joy I once had.”
