BIA's Admission To Nicki Minaj Makes Burna Boy Defend His Legacy
BIA is causing quite a stir after her recent Instagram Live appearance with Nicki Minaj on Thursday (July 11). When asked about Nigerian stars such as Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido, BIA said she didn’t know what they looked like despite being international stars.
Fans questioned her answer, but BIA quickly cleared up her statement on Twitter, saying just because she didn’t know what they looked like doesn’t mean she doesn’t know their music. Despite the explanation, Burna Boy had something to say. On Saturday (July 10), the “Ye” rapper took to Twitter to reflect on BIA’s comments.
“That babe wey nor know our face don dey my dms since 2018,” Burna Boy tweeted. “I’ve sold out every venue I’ve ever been booked for since 2018. Most of them 2 or three nights back to back. This next chapter of my Life as a performer is something I really look forward to.
“I’m in only ARENAS, STADIUMS and FESTIVALS worldwide. DREAMS come TRUE for REAL.”

If BIA honestly doesn’t know what Burna Boy looks like, she may want to hit up one of his shows this year. According to his tweets, Burna Boy is stepping up his live shows in a big way for himself and his fans.
BIA was also in the middle of an interesting situation during her talk with Nicki Minaj. During their Instagram Live, Nicki decided to put Drake on blast for constantly texting her and asking about BIA. Nicki seemed annoyed, but BIA let off a small laugh in response to Drake asking for her.
“Champagnepapi, stop texting me please and go to your big booty ting,” Nicki said. “Drake going to text me talking about BIA fine.”
