Boosie Badazz Explains Why He Didn't Reach Out To NBA YoungBoy After 'I Hate YoungBoy' Diss

Boosie Badazz doesn’t beef with many rappers but after fellow Baton Rouge artist NBA YoungBoy called him out in February with “I Hate YoungBoy,” the “Set It Off” rapper wasn’t in the mood to make peace with the younger artist.

In a sitdown with VladTV, Boosie explained why he never decided to reach out and attempt to squash whatever perceived bad blood between the two.

“Because I don’t wanna kill him,” Boosie explained to Vlad. “So, I just wanted to say what I had to say. I ain’t really promote the song. I just wanted to say what I had to say. But, it — I just felt like, I’ll say what I had to say over the mic and that’s it, you know? Like I said, my first and last time speaking on it. I was gon’ say what I had to say, and that’s it.”

In “I Hate YoungBoy,” the oft-incarcerated YoungBoy continued his beef with Lil Durk while taunting those affiliated with Durk such as Apple Music and Gucci Mane.

“Feel like Boosie don’t even like me, bitch, don’t call my phone, fuck you,” YoungBoy rapped.

The diss prompted Boosie to respond with his own shots on “I Don’t Call Phones I Call Shots,” rapping, “First and last time speaking on this/If you felt that way, why you ain’t call me on my phone number?/Bitch you know you wrong, clearin’ all these n-ggas songs/Don’t go clear a n-gga’s song, but fake it like you a n-gga dog/That’s that fake shit/Don’t speak on me no more lil’ n-gga, you know I don’t go for that/Let’s keep it real dog, you was a ho for that.”

In Boosie’s eyes, the response said exactly what he needed to say as he didn’t have an idea where YoungBoy’s issues with originated.

“I was just sayin’ some pussy shit like he do,” Boosie said. “That’s all I felt. I ain’t even take that shit to heart, really.”

Since the disses and even Gucci Mane’s response with “Publicity Stunt,” things have calmed between all parties.
