Cardi B Responds To Lil Tjay's Collab Request After Being Accused Of 'Ducking' Him
Lil Tjay is shooting his shot at notching another A-list collaboration, and this time he wants to connect with a fellow superstar hailing from The Bronx. The “Calling My Phone” rapper took to Twitter on Sunday night (December 19) to get Cardi B‘s attention in hopes of teaming up together on wax.
“I ain’t gon lie @iamcardib [what’s the word] we the 2 hottest in the city rn,” he wrote while asserting he and Cardi are the two hottest rappers out of NYC at the moment. “idk it feel like u ducking or sum.”

“Say less,” he replied with a series of fire emojis, before later using NYC’s favorite current catchphrase to express his excitement. “Lol it’s litt BINGG BONGGG!”

As Cardi B celebrates her third diamond plaque thanks to “I Like It” — which ties her with Katy Perry for the most diamond songs of any female artist ever — Lil Tjay will look to earn his first No. 1 hit if his collaboration with the Grammy Award-winner comes to fruition.
Tjay’s previous chart best came earlier this year with the 6LACK-assisted “Calling My Phone,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. He’s also notched high-profile collaborations with J. Cole, Moneybagg Yo, French Montana, YG and the late Pop Smoke.
On Cardi B’s side, the mother of two is getting back in the booth having promising her anticipated sophomore album’s arrival at some point in 2022.
