Chief Keef Currently Hospitalized With Mysterious Ailment

With the COVID-19 pandemic still raging across the globe, hospitalizations have skyrocketed. According to the Centers for Infectious Disease Research & Policy, the COVID Tracking Project reported 61,964 Americans were hospitalized with the virus as of November 2020.

But that still doesn’t explain why Chief Keef is currently in the hospital. On Tuesday (February 2), Sosa posted a photo to his Instagram Stories that showed him posted up at a hospital with an IV sticking out of his arm — although he offered his 6.5 million Instagram followers zero context as to why he’s hemmed up at the moment.

Keef’s drug history has fans concerned its somehow related to substance abuse. One of the first comments on Akademiks’ post reads, “Cut the lean.”

The Chicago native was arrested in April 2017 for driving under the influence and TMZ later learned he had eight different substances in his system at the time of his arrest — Morphine, Codeine, Promethazine, THC, Hydrocodone, Norcodeine, Dihydrocodeine and Hydromorphone.

Law enforcement sources said at the time Keef was driving a green Lamborghini when his passenger allegedly got out and started talking with the vehicle behind theirs. Cops spotted the stop and believed there was some type of exchange made, so they pulled Keef over. Witnesses on scene said officers discovered marijuana in at least one of the vehicles.

Keef was arrested again just a couple of months later, this time at the South Dakota Airport. He was charged with marijuana possession of between two ounces and a half-pound as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.
