Dame Dash Assures Everyone Kanye West 'Don't Give A Fuck About The Grammys'

Los Angeles, CA – The Game was incensed after the Recording Academy pulled Kanye West’s performance from the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. But according to Dame Dash, that’s the last thing on the Yeezy mogul’s mind.

TMZ caught up with the Roc-A-Fella Records mogul at the Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday (March 22) and asked what he thought of the decision.

“Kanye don’t give a fuck about the Grammys,” he responded rather matter-of-factly. “We make our own Grammys .. I’m not trying to fit into somebody else’s system. So we just create our own so we ain’t gotta worry about nobody else’s rules. … It’s not for them to judge who’s hot. It’s for us. They really shouldn’t be giving us the awards. We should be giving them the awards. They gotta respect our culture.”

A rep for Kanye West confirmed the 44-year-old rapper was kicked off the lineup for his “disturbing online behavior.” Over the last several weeks, Kanye obliterated everyone from D.L. Hughley, The Daily Host Trevor Noah, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her new boyfriend Pete Davidson to Saturday Night Live guest writer Dave Sirus to Perez Hilton.

Consequently, Kanye’s team received a phone call on the evening of March 18 informing them his appearance had been cut. Despite Donda being up for Album of the Year, sources say the Recording Academy is concerned Noah — who’s hosting the show — and Kanye could have a conflict if they’re in the same building.

But Kanye’s “Eazy” collaborator thinks the Recording Academy made a terrible choice and explained his position in a lengthy Instagram post.

“Time & time again they show us that they only want to STEAL the culture, not allow you to ever be their equals,” he wrote in the caption. “In a more than obvious move for reasons of minuscule actions…. The Grammys have at the last minute decided to pull @kanyewest from performing on the show as if we didn’t know it was coming.

“Could be because @trevornoah is hosting and there was a conversation held amongst his team & the academy that led to the decision or because Ye’s account was suspended just days ago for reasons unknown especially in a world where all the negativities of the world can be found on the same app with no repercussions or suspensions. We’ll just say it’s all of the above & a continuous disrespect for us & all that we have brought to the table in entertainment, media & sports over the last 100 years especially.”

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards are scheduled to take place on Sunday (April 3) at the MMG Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Some of the performers included Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish and Jack Harlow. Read The Game’s full post below.
