Diddy Cancels NYE Bash For 2nd Year In A Row Over COVID-19
Miami, FL – Diddy won’t be partying the night away for a second consecutive New Year’s Eve. According to TMZ, Puff Daddy has canceled his annual New Year’s Eve bash due to COVID-19 concerns with cases rising rapidly in the Miami area.
Diddy was set to host the NYE banger with 500 of his closest friends and family in Miami on Friday (December 31) but canceled the rager earlier in December once the Omicron variant of COVID-19 began to run rampant across the United States.
The Bad Boy mogul last hosted his NYE bash in 2019 at Story nightclub in Miami and it was a star-studded affair with appearances from Fat Joe, Meek Mill, DaBaby, DJ Khaled and more.
For those looking for relaxing New Year’s Eve plans inside the house, there are a few options out there that will be broadcast live. NBC’s party will be co-hosted by Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson with performances by Jack Harlow, Saweetie, 24kGoldn and Kitty Ca$h .
ABC’s soiree is hosted by Ryan Seacrest and features LL COOL J, Big Boi and Sleepy Brown hitting the stage. Ciara is set to host a segment with D-Nice behind the boards spinning a special set.
Coming off Christmas weekend which featured a ton of traveling, Florida reported a record 32,850 COVID-19 cases on Monday (December 27). The number breaks the state’s own record which was set once again on Friday (December 24) with 31,758 coronavirus cases.
