Drake & 21 Savage’s Massive First-Week Sales Figures For ‘Her Loss’ Are In

Drake and 21 Savage’s collaborative album Her Loss is projected to generate massive first-week figures.

On Saturday (November 5), Hits Daily Double projected the 16-track album would reach the No. 1 spot on the U.S. Albums chart upon selling between 335-350K units first-week amid 425-450 million on-demand streams. Additionally, upon release, Her Loss commanded the entire top 16 at Apple Music’s Top Songs Chart and broke the record for the largest single-day streams total for a collaboration album in Spotify history, with over 97 million streams.

Drizzy and 21 will be competing with Taylor Swift for the Billboard 200 Albums Chart top spot as Swift’s surprise album Midnights broke several records last week and moved 1.578M album-equivalent units whilst securing a dominant No. 1 debut on the albums chart.

Aside from the quality of the music alone, Her Loss has generated an incredible amount of buzz from the seemingly vengeful and volatile lyricism Drake injected the joint-effort release with. In addition to the alleged sneak diss which purportedly alludes to Megan The Stallion and Tory Lanez’s ongoing shooting case on “Circo Loco,” Drake dealt lyrical snubs throughout the LP targeting melodramatic beef he’s had with artists such as Ice Spice, DRAM, Kanye West, and even and even tennis champion Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian.

If Her Loss does end up securing the top spot on the Billboard Albums chart, Drake will add yet another major accomplishment to his ever-expanding list of accolades by earning his eighth consecutive No. 1 debut and second this year alone.

In June, the OVO boss’ dance album Honestly Nevermind reportedly sold 210,000 total album-equivalent units in its first-week while also debuting atop the Billboard 200. Drake’s sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy (CLB), also snatched a dominant No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart last September, pushing an estimated 613,000 total album-equivalent units.

In total, Her Loss could potentially give Drake his 13th overall No. 1 appearance on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart.
