Drake To Discuss Squashing DMX Beef On N.O.R.E. & DJ EFN's ‘Drink Champs'
Drake is expected to appear on an upcoming episode of the REVOLT series Drink Champs with co-hosts N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. Noreaga excitedly took to Instagram on Monday (April 12) and shared the big news with his 1.1 million followers, although he didn’t reveal a premiere date.
In the caption, he noted they’d be discussing the 2012 beef between Drake and the late DMX, one N.O.R.E. claims he squashed through OVO producer Noah “40” Shebib.

During a 2012 interview with The Breakfast Club, DMX loudly stated his opinion on Drake, saying at the time, “I don’t like anything about Drake. I don’t like his fucking voice. I don’t like the shit he talks about. I don’t like his face. I don’t like the way he walks, nothing. I don’t like his haircut.”
But four years later, the Ruff Ryders legend changed his tune after Drake used his song “How’s It Goin’ Down” for the 2016 Views cut “U With Me?,” which also featured DMX’s name and lyrics from “What These Bitches Want” from his 1999 album And Then There Was X. The ensuing phone call that took place didn’t hurt either.
“I did always say that he was a talented lyricist, but I was not a fan — you’re right,” he said during another interview with The Breakfast Club. “[It was] another humbling experience. Like, Yo, you didn’t like this dude for all the wrong reasons … For him to take the effort — first, to want to use a song of mine — and then to be man enough to reach out and make that call, homie, hat’s off, man. That was a real move.”
As for the phone call, DMX said he was blown away by Drake’s humility, explaining he was really just a fan at the end of the day.
“He was like, ‘Me and 40, you raised us, man,” he recalled. “I was like, wow. Here you are, feeling this way, not knowing that [they] love you, son.”
DMX died at White Plains Hospital in New York on Friday (April 9), just a week after suffering a massive heart attack. Drink Champs was granted what would become one of DMX’s last interviews. In the wake of his death, the show faced heavy scrutiny for allowing a struggling addict like DMX to appear on a show where drinking and smoking weed is strongly encouraged. Noreaga didn’t directly address the chatter but did post an Instagram post about trust.
“I trusted u and u trusted me!!!” he wrote in the caption. “Rest In Peace bro there will never be another 1 god has alway been wit u!!! But now u wit god!!!”
