Dreamville Rapper J.I.D Kicks Off Giveback Campaign With New Car For Laid Off Worker

With the COVID-19 pandemic putting millions out of work, rappers are doing their part to give back to the community. J.I.D is teaming up with MOD Pizza for a day of giving on Thursday (March 25) where they’ll look to grant wishes the rest of the year for fans using the #RandomActsofMODness on Twitter.

“It’s been a tough year and we know folks are struggling,” the Dreamville rapper said. “So, I’m excited to partner with MOD to spread some love in our local communities. We all need a little help from time to time, so hit us up!”

Earlier this year, J.I.D and MOD gifted a young woman who lost her job and insurance at the hands of the pandemic a brand new car to replace the vehicle she previously totaled. They met up for lunch at the Decatur, Georgia MOD Pizza location and then J.I.D surprised her with the keys to her new black Kia outside following their meal.

MOD co-founder Ally Svenson added, “We’re so inspired by the impact that a kind gesture can have on someone’s life and the ripple effect that this can create. We call it ‘Spreading MODness.’ J.I.D is helping us spread more MODness and positively impact more lives and for this we are so grateful!”

With DiCaprio 2 dropping in 2019, 2021 means J.I.D is in album mode. The long-awaited The Forever Story is slated to arrive later this year. The Atlanta native is reportedly working Cordae, Anderson .Paak and James Blake. Rumors are circulating he could hit the studio with Metro Boomin’ as well after the duo exchanged compliments in February.
