Funk Flex Says Drake, Kanye West & LL COOL J Influenced His Liposuction Decision
Funk Flex went on Instagram Live in November 2020 to let his 1.3 million followers get a peak at his liposuction procedure — and of course, got clowned in the process.
But according to a recent episode of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, the veteran Hot 97 radio personality explained he was influenced to by a few top tier artists, including LL COOL J, Kanye West and Drake — although he couldn’t 100 percent confirm they’d all had lipo.
“I went public with it just because I thought everyone did — now, I can’t say I seen, but I can say, you know, I did, to my knowledge, Drake and Kanye and LL [COOL J] and people like that, that’s what they were doing,” he said. “When I called and I got in touch with the guy who did it for me, I was recommended because current football players and current boxers go to him.”
Flex has undergone quite the transformation in recent months. After losing 40 pounds, he opted to target his “trouble areas” with the procedure. In the graphic Instagram video, a tube was inserted into his right side as yellow clumps of fat was extracted from his body and collected in a container next to him.
He wrote in the caption, “For a while now @40dayreset has been amazing in helping me lose 40lbs! @drwerfel thank u so much! Today I took a step I always wanted to try! @elitebodysculpture works on those hard areas… lower stomach, arm pit sides and back fat! No anesthesia, awake the entire time! I really enjoyed it!”

Following Funk Flex’s fat-sucking procedure, LL COOL J tweeted about how hard it was to stop himself from ridiculing him — but then did it anyway.
“I’m doing everything in my power right now not to go in on homie?” he wrote at the time. “Lipo on IG? LOL. Yo@funkflex you let him hit you with the turkey thermometer on social media!!!!! I still love u B!!”
