Gunna Finally Reveals Reason Behind 'Scary' Hospitalization

Rapper Gunna was hospitalized earlier this week, but he didn’t explain what landed him there until now.

On Thursday (July 8), the 300 Entertainment/YSL Records artist hopped on Instagram Live to update his fans on his condition, revealing he was finally out and going home. Simultaneously, he explained he’d caught a serious case of pneumonia that required special medical attention.

“I feel better,” he said. “I’m out of the hospital. I had fuckin’ pneumonia really, really bad. Health is wealth. Everybody take care of your body, you know what I’m saying? Take it easy.

“But I’m good. I’m in the back of the Maybach watching Belly. I just don’t want people to think I’m somewhere in the hospital, fucked up. I’m up. Now I’m on the way to my mama’s.”

He added, “I’m out of the hospital with an all gold Cartier, rose gold.”

The watch Gunna is referring to came from YSL Records’ label head Young Thug. The Jeffery rapper visited Gunna while he was in the hospital and left him four new luxury watches, including the Cartier and three Audemars Piguets.

“Still my birthday,” Gunna said in a video of the visit. “Still my birthday. Not one, not two, not three, FOUR. Still my birthday!” He added in the caption, “My twin @thuggerthugger1 ain’t never late. I think I’m feeling better already.”

Gunna turned 28 years old in June and received $100,000 in an Air Jordan shoe box from his “Heating Up” collaborator Lil Baby. With Gunna on the mend, it looks like the celebration can continue.
