Jadakiss, Ryan Leslie And LaRussell Link Up For “Earn Your Masters” At SXSW

On Friday (March 17), Jadakiss, Ryan Leslie, and LaRussell linked up to drop knowledge on the business of the music industry at UnitedMasters and Earn Your Leisure’s “Earn Your Masters” panel at South By Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
According to a press release, the event, which was moderated by Earn Your Leisure’s founders Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings, was filled with financial education for the next generation of creators who are traditionally underserved by financial institutions. Attendees also enjoyed performances from Liana Banks, $hyfromdrate and BigXthaPlug.
“Learn as much as you can about what you’re getting into,” Jadakiss said during the panel when asked about his experience being his own boss. “It’s like a marriage, anything you’re about to fall in love with or spend the rest of your life with, you should try and obtain as much knowledge as you can before you jump the broom or sign the contract.”
