Today (May 15), FOX announced that Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx are returning to the media company in 2024 to host a new game show called “We Are Family.”

Sharing the her excitement on social media, Corinne captioned a post, “‘WE ARE FAMILY’ coming 2024! The Foxx family is headed back to our home on @foxtv and we can’t wait for this new show!”

This news comes days after Corinne, who issued a statement about Jamie’s unnamed medical complication last month, recently settled rumors about her dad’s health. “Update from family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!” she posted on her Instagram story.

The father-daughter duo is best known for hosting FOX’s music game show “Beat Shazam.” The two have been replaced by Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne for the new season, which is expected to air this summer, as Jamie recovers.

“We are thrilled to be developing ‘We Are Family’ with Jeff Apploff and our friends at Fox Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of ‘Beat Shazam,’” Jamie and Corinne said in a press release. “We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”

According to FOX, the new series will “feature a studio audience comprised of 100 contestants playing through multiple rounds of clues and gameplay to win up to $100,000 each by correctly guessing which celebrity the performer is related to before they are revealed.”

“Jamie and Corinne are important partners to the Fox family,” President of Unscripted Programming at FOX Allison Wallach added. “Their boundless energy and charming interplay with contestants are irresistible, which make them the perfect hosts of We Are Family.’ This series joins Fox’s fast-growing list of premium music-centric competition series.”
