JayDaYoungan Arrested On Felony Fugitive Warrant After Allegedly Attacking Woman
East Cobb, GA – JayDaYoungan (real name Javorius Scott) has been arrested on multiple felony charges. East Cobb News reports the Louisiana native was taken into custody on Friday (October 16) following a domestic incident at a home in East Cobb, Georgia.
According to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office website, the 22-year-old rapper was arrested on a fugitive warrant near Columns Drive for allegedly attacking a woman and booked into Cobb County jail on Saturday (October 17) around 1:35 p.m. local time.
Charges include Battery, Family Violence and three Fugitive From Justice (Felony) charges. The arrest warrant states Scott “did punch, push and grab” an individual, “leaving visible marks and scars” on the accuser’s arms and indicated he and his accuser were “living or formerly living in the same household.”
Although Scott posted a $1,320 bond for that charge, another warrant popped up with charges stemming from an arrest in Houston, Texas earlier this year. In that incident, Scott was found by police hiding in an attic after he allegedly hit his pregnant girlfriend. Police seized $24,000 in cash, Promethazine, Oxycodone and multiple firearms. Consequently, he was arrested on charges of domestic abuse and possession of a controlled substance.
Scott’s latest arrest came after Coweta County’s Sheriff’s Office investigators learned he was in the Atlanta area shooting a video and “possibly buying a property in Marietta.”
A second fugitive warrant filed against Scott in Cobb was dismissed, but he remained in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond late Monday afternoon (October 19). The initial fugitive warrant reveals Harris County, Texas officials intend to extradite Scott.
Scott’s string of legal troubles doesn’t appear to be stifling his music career too much. His singles “23 Island,” “Opps” and “Elimination” have received 25.6, 19.3 and 18.3 million respective streams on SoundCloud as of January 2020. His 2019 debut mixtape, Misunderstood, peaked at No. 43 on the Billboard 200.
Meanwhile, his Instagram account is filled with photos of his newborn baby boy.
