Kim Kardashian Ruled Legally Single Following Kanye West Divorce

Kim Kardashian is a single woman once again. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran made the ruling official during a court hearing on Wednesday (March 2), according to Page Six.

Kim K. reportedly appeared at the hearing via Zoom in the divorce proceedings to end her marriage to Kanye West from the confines of her closet to avoid distractions from her four kids at home.

Judge Cochran also restored Kim to use her maiden name once again instead of legally including West. In the past, Kanye’s legal team has attempted to hold up the process for Kardashian, but now it seems he’s looking to a solution as quickly as possible too.

“I’ve asked my team to expedite the dissolution of my marriage to Kim so I can put my entire attention into our beautiful children,” Ye relayed in a statement to Hollywood Unlocked on Tuesday (March 1).

Kanye’s new attorney Samantha Spector objected that there are still plenty of custody and property issues to be sorted through and she requested 120 days to prepare. Judge Cochran agreed and scheduled the next hearing to address such items on August 5.

Kim K. filed for divorce in February 2021 and has since moved on to date comedian Pete Davidson. Kanye West looks to have a new boo as well in 24-year-old Chaney Jones. The two have been spotted out in Miami throughout the last couple of weeks and made posts with photos of each other on Instagram.
