Kodak Black Aims For 'Song Of The Summer' With Jason Derulo 'Slidin' Collaboration
Everyone wants a scoop of Kodak Black on their songs these days it seems. Kodak served up another assist on Jason Derulo’s “Slidin,” which arrived on Thursday (May 19).
On par with the usual Derulo formula, the track is catchy and wants to make people get up and dance with what he hopes to be a potential song of the summer candidate.
“My guy, my Haitian brother,” JD said of the Sniper Gang rapper. “He came in blessed and we honestly had a great time. Make sure you check out the song. The song I promise you is the song of the summer. It’s gonna stick in your head and make you wanna [dance].”

Of course, there’s a TikTok dance to go along with the tune, which is sure to help power its streaming numbers and make an impact on the charts. The dance compilation video even shows Kodak giving his best shot at the jig in a white dress shirt and black leather pants.
Kodak Black has been a busy man in recent weeks. In addition to teaming up with Jason Derulo, he made multiple appearances on Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album and also re-connected with Moneybagg Yo for “Rocky Road.”
