Kodak Black Left Seething By 'Irritating' NBA YoungBoy Fans

Kodak Black is no stranger to controversy, and this weekend he faced the wrath of NBA YoungBoy fans after a comment he made about today’s rappers.

On Friday (August 5), the Florida rapper took to Instagram Live to air out his grievances with the quality of this year’s rap albums.

“I promise y’all — shoutout my n-gga Pluto, shoutout my n-gga Future. I swear to God. All these n-ggas albums mid,” Kodak said, while sat in a car at a gas station.

He continued: “I’m living off 50 Gs for this month. All these n-ggas albums mid. I fuck with Pluto, that’s my n-gga. We ’bout to go on tour.”

Kodak was then inundated with comments from people who either agreed with him or wanted to call him out for overlooking certain projects.

One album in particular that kept getting brought up was NBA YoungBoy’s The Last Slimeto, which was released on the same day as Kodak Black’s rant. Fans of the Louisiana rapper responded with “YB Better” posts and hashtags, prompting Kodak to fire back.

“Bra I Like YoungBoy Music,” Kodak tweeted. “ITS JUST THIS N-GGA FANS HOMIE ! OR WHOEVER TF BEHIND ALL THIS #YBBETTER SHIT. THAT SHIT BE IRRITATING AND CANT NOBODY ELSE SAY THEY DONT FEEL ME , A N-GGA TOO REAL I AINT HATING ON NO FUCKIN BODY I JUST SAY WHAT EVERYBODY ELSE SCARED TO SAY.”

In a follow-up tweet, he wrote: “N-gga Can’t Even Post A Cheeseburger Without They Ass Under A Post Talm Bout “YB Post His Burger Better” I Love It That’s Kool But The Shit B Irritating Af Homie , Y’all Stay On Dat N-gga Page Wit Dat Shit.”

Kodak Black then claimed he would be deleting his “page” because of “all this pussy ass shit.” It’s not clear whether he meant he was deleting one of his social media pages or all of them, but as it stands they are all still active.

“Anyways My NEW Shit Finna Drop Soon & AINT NOBODY FUCKIN WIT THIS ALBUM PERIOD,” he said. “IM DELETING MY PAGE TOO KUZ IM TIRED OF ALL THIS PUSSY ASS SHIT , I B FEELING LIKE KILLING MUHFUCKAS , THIS WHOLE FAME & INTERNET SHIT BOGUS , IMA KEEP THUGGIN IN MY LIL CORNER OVER HERE.”

NBA YoungBoy recently inspired Kodak Black to renegotiate his label contract with Atlantic Records after he caught wind of the Louisiana rapper’s recently reported $60 million deal.

The Baton Rouge rapper’s Never Broke Again imprint floated the lucrative figure while promoting his new album The Last Slimeto on Instagram ahead of its August 5 release.

“Lil YoungBoy, he bout to fulfill his deal. I’m fulfilling my deal too,” Kodak Black said on Instagram Live last Sunday (July 31). “I definitely can’t let him be out his deal and moving on and getting to that real bag, and I just be sitting back and just still in my fucking deal. No! I’m done too … I seen jit come out, some $60 million shit, so I need my 60.”

In a follow-up video, the Florida native accused labels of locking young artists into “rookie contracts,” even after they’ve proved themselves as stars.

“I know what’s going on with these labels and how they be taking advantage of young n-ggas and shit,” he continued. “N-ggas be still in they rookie deals… But you on to that big bag… I ain’t still gonna be in my shit. N-ggas showed that they in competition with me.”

Yak later clarified he wasn’t dissing NBA YoungBoy and attempted to illustrate his point by name-dropping rap peers like Lil Durk, Drake and Lil Baby.
