Latto's 'Big Energy' Puts Her In Rare Company With Nicki Minaj, Cardi B + Lauryn Hill
Latto’s “Big Energy” single continues to surge up the Billboard Hot 100, where it sits at a new peak of No. 3 on this week’s chart thanks to a boost from the official remix starring Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled.
Cracking the Top 5 puts Big Latto in some rare company as she became the ninth solo female rap act to hit the Top 5 with a single. Latto joins Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, Lauryn Hill, M.I.A., Missy Elliott and Salt-N-Pepa to conquer the feat.

“Big Energy” is also the first Top 5 record from a solo female in the rap game since Cardi B did it with her “Up” single last year.
With a full week of streaming numbers added in with the remix this week, Latto has her sights set on topping the Billboard Hot 100. Regardless, she’s grateful that “Big Energy” has been so well-received.
“Thank you God!!” she wrote on Twitter earlier this week. “Thanks jackpots thanks lambs and last but definitely not least thank you Mariah!!! keep streaming! And This was without a full tracking week! Wtf!!!!!”

She then reflected on how far “Big Energy” has come, writing, “The fact Big Energy debuted on the bubbling under chart and is now top 3 on hot 100 is wildddddd.”
