MC Serch's 'Breaking Anonymity' Podcast To Feature Royce Da 5'9, Mobb Deep's Havoc + More
Drug addiction has been steadily on the rise in Hip Hop circles. Notable acts such as Mac Miller, Juice WRLD, Digital Underground’s Shock G, DMX and, more recently, The Wire actor Michael K. Williams are among the many who’ve tragically lost their lives to overdoses.
With his new podcast, Hip Hop veteran MC Serch will partner with journalist and HipHopDX’s own Kyle Eustice to further examine the battles people go through with addiction and the gifts they earn through recovery.
The podcast, titled Breaking Anonymity will see Serch and Eustice chat with seasoned artists, actors, skateboarders and anyone else in the recovery community who can offer a little experience, strength and hope.
On Monday, Serch was among many who paid tribute to Williams, who was found dead in his NYC apartment. He was 54.
“@bkbmg RIP to a real one, Michael K Williams,” he wrote on Instagram. “54 is way too young to leave us. Love and Light upon his memory always.”
