Ariana Grande married the worlds of Hip Hop and pop when she recruited Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat for the sultry “34 + 35” remix in January. The girl power trio returned on Friday (February 12) for a night of fun with the remix’s visual.
Ari, Meg and Doja take over a lavish yet old-fashioned five-star hotel. They have a spa day and then get changed into lingerie to enjoy a girls’ night sleepover. In the midst of their lighthearted shenanigans, Ari gives room service a call to order some champagne, french fries, Twizzlers and a side of dessert — what a combo.
The remix vaulted the single from outside the Top 10 up to No. 2 on the Hot 100 in the week following its release. The star-studded Positions rework currently sits at No. 4 on the Hot 100 and could push higher with a continued pump to radio and the video being out.
Megan has become a force on the charts in her own right, as she earned a pair of Hot 100 chart-toppers in 2020 with the Beyoncé-assisted “Savage (Remix)” and Cardi B’s “WAP.”
Doja can thank TikTok for her latest hit, which is actually over a year old. The 2019 “Streets” surged into the Top 20 with a new peak of No. 18 and earned the biggest gain in streaming for the week on the charts.
