Nicki Minaj Reviving 'Queen Radio' On New Amazon App Alongside Pusha T + Big Boi Shows
Nicki Minaj’s Queen Radio was a hit on Apple Music Beats 1 program, but it was short-lived after the New York native stopped releasing episodes. The Young Money rapper revealed in December there was an update coming soon regarding her radio show, and it looks like that time has come.
On Tuesday (March 8), Nicki Minaj and Amazon announced a partnership that will see Queen Radio live on the company’s new live audio app called Amp, which launches today. Nicki will be one of many A-list creators, including Pusha T, Tinashe, Lil Yachty, Big Boi and more, contributing to the new app.

According to a report from Bloomberg, Amp will give users will be able to play songs and speak with others while accessing a massive library of songs from Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and other independent labels. It’s still in the beta phase, so Amp will be invite-only to start and will require an access code, which will be distributed through a waitlist, on social media, and in a newsletter.
Nicki announced she had left Apple after fellow podcast host Joe Budden asked what was the status of Queen Radio during an episode of his beloved show. According to Nicki, Global Creative Director of Apple Music, Larry Jackson gave his blessing for the rapper to explore new waters.
“Thank you Joe, I rlly appreicate you asking & caring,” Nicki tweeted. “We have a new home. Official announcement coming soon. I gotta s/o Larry JAckson @ Apple tho, for orginally putting the idea on my radar & giving me his blessing to explore new avenues for the show. #Queen radio.”
