Offset, Diddy, Common, De La Soul & More Join The Anti-Trump Wagon
Plenty of Hip Hop artists are making their disdain for Donald Trump known ahead of the 2020 presidential election. Notable acts repping multiple regions have used their voices to campaign against the incumbent president prior to election day, which takes place on Tuesday (November 3).
Offset and Common participated in an Atlanta rally for Trump’s opponent Joe Biden, performing “Ric Flair Drip” and “Glory” respectively for the audience gathered at the Lakewood Amphitheatre. Meanwhile, Diddy officially revealed he voted for Biden by showing off his ballot via social media.
Beyond those actions, De La Soul brought together a group of politically-minded rappers to create an anti-Trump anthem titled “Remove 45.” The respected trio recruited Pharoahe Monch, Styles P, Public Enemy’s Chuck D and more to help urge people to vote Trump out of office.
“When it comes to this president and his administration, we need to exercise our right to vote and remove him from office,” De La Soul’s Posdnuos said in a press release.
According to The Washington Post, at least 71 million people have already voted in the election as of Wednesday (October 28). That’s already more than half of the 139 million total votes cast in the entire 2016 election.
