Playboi Carti Reportedly Arrested On Felony Charge For Choking Pregnant Girlfriend

Playboi Carti was reportedly arrested on felony charges after reportedly choking his pregnant girlfriend.
According to reports, the rapper and his then girlfriend was arguing about a paternity test. The two had reportedly been dating for two years prior to the incident – which occurred in December – and living together since July 2022. Reports the woman was 14 weeks pregnant at the time.
TMZ reports, the woman told police the rapper grabbed her by her throat and pushed her, holding her neck until she could barely breathe. She also said that she thought she “was going to die.”
She told police a witness jumped in to try and break up the fight, and when she was able to escape Carti’s grasp, she ran to her car … where she claims he attacked her again. When cops arrived, police say the woman had visible injuries to her neck, chest and back.
Playboi’s attorney, Brian Steel, says, “Mr. Carter was falsely accused. Pursuant to my communications with the Fulton County District Attorney‘s office, this case will be dismissed without any prosecution or litigation.”
