Pooh Shiesty, Coi Leray and Nardo Wick all had a big and, as a result, were among the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) first-time gold and platinum award recipients for its 2021 class.

In particular, Pooh Shiesty’s was recognized for “Back In Blood,” Coi Leray for “No More Parties in LA” and Wick’s for his breakout single, “Who Want Smoke?” Shiesty also snagged his first gold plaque for his debut album Shiesty Season.

It will be a bit more challenging for Pooh Shiesty to enjoy these accomplishments. The Memphis rapper is currently incarcerated following his arrest for an armed robbery in June. He’s been trying to resolve the case as quickly as possible, changing his plea from not guilty to guilty at the end of October, and withdrawing his request to delay his trial. Pooh reportedly plans to cut a plea deal with the prosecution at the advice of his legal team.

“We’ve entered into plea negotiations because there have been developments in the case that I think changed the dynamics of the case,” Bradford Cohen, one of Pooh’s attorneys, Rolling Stone. The details of the plea deal haven’t been revealed.

Since Shiesty is still locked up for the time being, his team reposted an Instagram story on November 3 featuring the rapper’s fellow inmate speaking on how their prison’s commissary system works, since apparently fans have been wondering how to send Shiesty money.

“I get a lot of DM’s about how kan I send Pooh Shiesty some bread well this is one way through Western Union either in the store or online,” the message reads from an account by the name of MobTiesGlobal. He then reposted account information of where fans can donate to support the 1017 signee.
