Quavo & Takeoff Announce Migos Show – Minus Offset
Quavo and Takeoff have announced that Migos will take part in an upcoming battle of the bands event — but without Offset.
On Tuesday (July 26), the National Battle of the Bands (NBOTB) revealed the group would be appearing on stage at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, but a flier for the event only appears to show Quavo and Takeoff.
“The addition of world-famous hip hop act, Migos, to the 2022 National Battle of the Bands lineup is a gigantic milestone, merging popular hip hop with the spirit and soul of music produced by our nation’s finest HBCU marching bands,” NBOTB executive producer Derek Webber said in a statement. “We’re thrilled that spectators will get to see the iconic band showcase and a premier hip hop performance with the same ticket.”

Break-up rumors have continued to swirl since May when Quavo and Takeoff released a new track called “Hotel Lobby” under the moniker Unc & Phew. Eagle eyed fans also noticed that Offset and his wife Cardi B had both unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on social media prior to the track’s release.
While all three rappers have remained tight-lipped on the situation, there have been multiple situations that point to a Migos fall out. The trio notably dropped out of their scheduled performance at The Governors Ball in New York City back in June, and Quavo followed up the cancelation by dropping off a ‘Day in the Life’ TikTok that was noticeably devoid of any appearance from his cousin.
The Migos’ last album was Culture 3 in June 2021, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 130,000 total album-equivalent units sold in the first week.
To coincide with the battle of the bands news, Offset made an announcement of his own, revealing on Twitter that he and Moneybagg Yo were cooking up some new music due out in August.
