Rick Ross Reveals 'Richer Than I've Ever Been' Release Date & Cover Art

Rick Ross has been teasing his upcoming album Richer Than I’ve Ever Been for months now, and it looks like fans will be getting their hands on the new music very soon. On Thursday (November 4), the MMG mogul was a guest at the Miami Heat game, where he revealed the release date for Richer Than I’ve Ever Been.

The Miami Heat assisted Rozay by letting him use the jumbotron to make the announcement. December 10, the album’s release date, flashed across the giant screen at American Airlines Arena, and the team also gifted Ross with the new Miami Heat City Edition jerseys for the 2021-2022 season.

With the album finally on its way, Rick Ross explained how excited he was in a statement.

“This album is special to me in many different ways, as a teen they don’t see the value of maturity and growth,” he said. “Imagine being 30 years old and being broke, but really life is just getting started. Everyday I’m able to breathe this delicious oxygen is really why I’m richer than I ever been, my 11th studio album… I’m excited.”

Fans will get to hear a first taste of album when Rick Ross drops the lead single on November 12. The track is titled “Outlaws” and will feature 21 Savage and Jazmine Sullivan.

The fun didn’t stop there as Rick Ross took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal the official cover art for Richer Than I’ve Ever Been. Shot by famed Hip Hop photographer Jonathan Mannion, the artwork finds Ross dressed in regal attire with a pink fedora and white cape.

He’s also wearing a pair of white gloves as he covers his face from the camera and instead puts focus on his massive gold pinky ring and diamond-encrusted brooch pin.

For all its opulence, though, fans couldn’t help but poke fun at the album cover. Some fans compared Ross to a church-going grandma while others compared him to the Queen of England.

“Rick Ross’ new cover looking like a lady at church getting a compliment and not wanting to be seen blushing,” one fan tweeted, while another joked, “Rick Ross done passed drug kingpin and turned into Queen Elizabeth..pure opulence.”

Despite all the jokes, Rick Ross believes his fans will love the album. During an appearance on The Bakari Sellers Podcast in September, he claimed Richer Than I’ve Ever Been will be his magnum opus.

“Really, I feel this is the best album I’ve ever done,” he said. “I feel like some of the stuff I’m saying on this album is really going to separate it from others.”
