Toosii Thinks Flo Milli Doesn't Get Attention Because She's 'Dark Skin'
HipHopDX 2021 Rising Star Flo Milli had a breakout year in 2019 with her single “Beef FloMix,” and she amplified that buzz a year later with her debut mixtape Ho, Why Is You Here?. Fans have praised her raw talents on the mic, but people like fellow Rising Star Toosii feel she should get the same attention other upcoming female rappers are receiving.
On Tuesday (July 20), Toosii took to Twitter to stick up for his co-Rising Star and give an explanation into why Milli isn’t getting the proper recognition she deserves.
“I feel like cause flo milli a dark skin girl dat don’t got a fake body she don’t get the same look as the rest of a lot of these females who only rap about sucking dick,” he tweeted.

Toosii’s take had fans talking all over Twitter, with some agreeing with him. Others felt he was attacking different women and argued Milli’s rapping is relative to what her peers rap about on wax.
“THANK YOU TOOSII,” one fan tweeted. “We stan. FLO MILLI SHIT!”

Another person added, “FloMilli 100% deserves more hype. She’s hella talented and I definitely think colorism and her not having the fake bbl plays into her not being more popular compared to some of these other girls. But I see her moving up so I’m happy for her.”
“Flo milli raps about the same shit the other mainstream women in rap do…,” someone else tweeted.

Flo Milli isn’t the only female rapper whose natural body is sparking conversation on social media. Coi Leray went to Twitter and expressed her frustrations with the constant public criticism about her slim body frame in a series of tweets.
“Is there a certain way I’m supposed to look? Help me understand,” Coi Leray wrote in the first tweet alongside crying laughing emojis. “In the Bible is it a Sin to be thin? Help me understand.”
