Travis Scott Continues To Stunt With PS5 Exclusives, Thanks To NBA2K21
With PlayStation 5 set to drop this week, Sony creative partner Travis Scott continues to flex on the gaming community with unreleased jewels. Over the weekend, Scott got his hands on one of the only copies of NBA 2K21 for the PS5 currently in existence.
2K Sports marketing director Ronnie 2K pulled up on La Flame, who has had the PlayStation 5 since September, to deliver an early copy of 2K21.
“This is the biggest launch in 2K’s history and always great innovating with PlayStation’s strategic creative partner and my good friend,” Ronnie wrote. “Had to get him one of the first printed copies in the world. Only up from here on that PS5!”

Footage from the scene finds a hyped Cactus Jack on the phone letting his friend know he just copped the new 2K. In another clip, Scott can be heard teasing his hopes to one day move into politics and possibly become the mayor.
Even though he’s a noted Houston Rockets fan, Scott christened 2K21 by suiting up with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant’s Brooklyn Nets against the Golden State Warriors for an exhibition.
The Houston rager built on his lineup of lucrative partnerships when he came on board with Sony as a strategic creative partner in October. Much about his exact role is still to be figured out, but Sony praised his “deep knowledge and fond memories” of the brand.
“I’m really looking forward to being able to showcase everything that Cactus Jack has worked on with Sony and the PlayStation team,” Scott said in a statement. “Most importantly I’m excited to see how the PlayStation fans and family respond, and I look forward to running some games with everybody very soon!”
The “SICKO MODE” rapper’s partnership with Sony comes on the heels of his deal with McDonald’s, where he received his own signature meal in September.
While most have struggled to navigate 2020, Scott continues to win. His most recent single “FRANCHISE” featuring MIA and Young Thug landed atop the Billboard Hot 100 in October, marking his record-breaking third No. 1 debut within a year.
PlayStation 5 releases to the general public in the U.S. on November 12.
