Travis Scott Gets Support From T-Pain Ahead Of Festival Return

Los Angeles, CA – Travis Scott will soon return to the festival stage for the first time since last November’s Astroworld tragedy, which left 10 dead and hundreds injured, and T-Pain says he’s here for it. The “Buy U a Drank” crooner was stopped at the Los Angeles International Airport airport TMZ and told the outlet Scott deserves to have a comeback moment.

“You gotta give him a chance to prove himself again, you know what I’m saying?” T-Pain said. “You gotta let him do something to beef up his security or beef up the measures. For all that stuff it’s not really something that can just be told by time.”

He continued, “A lot of people go to jail for a longass time, get right back out do the same shit they was in jail for. Of course, he’s gonna show [improvement] … I got faith in him man, you know what I’m saying? I know where his heart is. He’ll be good.”

Travis Scott will headline three Primavera Sound events in South America later this year. As reported by Variety, the first performance will take place in São Paulo, Brazil on November 6, followed by a show in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago, Chile on November 12 and November 13.

Scott will also perform and host an event at Miami’s E11EVEN nightclub on May 7 to celebrate The Formula One Grand Prix, which is happening that week. The “Sicko Mode” lyricist has been trying to keep a low profile in the five months since the Astroworld tragedy. However, he’s picked up the microphone for a few lowkey performances. He was seen briefly performing at a pre-Oscars party and Coachella after-party after he’d been removed from the official Coachella lineup in the wake of Astroworld tragedy.

The Houston-bred rapper later trolled Coachella by placing promotional billboards along the I-10 freeway in Palm Springs that leads to the festival grounds. The billboards were in support of his forthcoming album Utopia and implied fans should turn around.

Check out the full Primavera Sound lineup below, which also features an appearance from JPEGMAFIA, Jack White and more.
