50 Cent Blasted for Disrespectful Comments Following Michael K. Williams’ Death
50 Cent is under fire for insensitive comments made in the wake of Michael K. Williams’ death.
On Monday (Sept. 6), the rapper posted the eyes emoji alongside a screenshot of a headline reporting the tragic passing of “The Wire” star, who was found dead in his Brooklyn home at age 54. His death is being investigated as a possible drug overdose.
“Damn if you didn’t see Raising Kanan check it out that fentanyl is no joke, killing the clientele,” 50 wrote while plugging his Starz show, “Power Book III: Raising Kanan.”
“R.I.P micheal k williams,” he added alongside hashtags promoting his cognac and wine.
Idc what anyone says, using someone’s tragic & untimely death to promote your own show with an insensitive ass caption is VILE. 50 Cent has always been ignorant, but this is crossing the line. pic.twitter.com/yeOQxZYbn1

The 46-year-old rapper received backlash before deleting the post and posting a 2018 headline about his beef with Williams that started after the “Boardwalk Empire” actor defended incarcerated music executive James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond, who was found guilty of hiring a hitman to kill 50’s friend.
“Don’t ever try to understand me. I’m different. I don’t do all the fake love shit,” wrote 50 before also deleting that post.
