Ab-Soul Responds to Joey Bada$$ With New Diss — Listen

If you thought the Joey Bada$$ vs. the West Coast showdown was over, think again. Ab-Soul has, in fact, officially entered the duel with a song he just dropped on Instagram. While there is no official track name out yet, Soul used the artwork from a 2018 post from his late friend Doe Burger, captioned “It’s just a few chains…don’t let that go over your head.”

The post itself pictures a bunch of chains put together including a TDE chain and a Pro Era chain among others. The track goes into a commentary of the feud that’s been brewing, while also addressing the fact that Soul will not be ducking any smoke, if anyone thought that in the first place.

In fact, the song ends with Ab-Soul wanting to get his props, also sampling DJ Hed, who talks to Elliott Wilson and Jeremy Hecht about Soul’s writing ability. He says that if Soul steps in, it won’t be any Kendrick bangers; instead it’ll be straight raps on raps, and Soul has just showed us he’s ready. What do you think?
