Amagiri Young Drops Coldest Summer EP After Milestone Record In Australia
Amagiri Young is set to drop his highly anticipated EP, Coldest Summer, on September 20, 2024. The 8-track project showcases a diverse range of sound and storytelling, featuring collaborations with Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, and Gucci Mane.
The EP opens with the title track, “Cold Summer,” a raw street tale that vividly depicts the struggles of poverty and crime in urban neighborhoods. Amagiri switches gears with “Smoke and Link,” a chill marijuana anthem about linking up with a beautiful woman, while “Places and Things” blends hip-hop and R&B, showing off Amagiri’s versatility.
Notable features include “The Policy” featuring Juelz Santana, a New York City story of law, principles, and underworld realities, and “Askari” featuring Jim Jones, a song that captures the soldier’s mindset of surviving life’s battles in urban environments. “Iceland (Of Course)” featuring Gucci Mane is the EP’s standout trap anthem, combining Amagiri’s New York lyricism with Gucci’s southern flair, making it a fan favorite.
Amagiri rounds out the EP with “Everything,” a heartfelt song about a man’s love and his desire to provide for the one he loves, and “Touch Me” featuring Tamia P, an R&B-infused track where Amagiri’s lyrical poetry meets Tamia’s seductive vocals.
Coldest Summer represents the hot and cold moods of 2024, symbolizing greatness and paying tribute to Kobe Bryant’s legendary jersey number, 24. Be sure to stream the EP when it drops on all major platforms on September 20, 2024.
