Drake Honors His Mother and Baby Mama for Mother’s Day
In honor of Mother’s Day, Drake is paying tribute to two of the most important women in his life.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the Toronto rapper shared a couple childhood photos of him and his mother, Sandra “Sandi” Graham. In one pic, Sandi puts her arm around a young Drake, while the other photo appears to be taken at Drake’s birthday party. The former “Degrassi” star wears a helmet and smiles while his mother embraces him with a big hug.
“Only look for sympathy inside my mothers eyes,” Champagne Papi captioned the slideshow.
Drake has a close relationship with his mother, who divorced his father Dennis when Drake was 5. He has often referenced her in his music including songs like “Sandra’s Rose” and “You & The 6.” “You and the 6 raised me right, that shit saved my life,” he raps on the latter.

Additionally, the Certified Lover Boy honored the mother of his child, Sophie Brussaux. He posted a photo of her with their 3-year-old son Adonis on his Instagram Story and captioned it, “Happy Mother’s Day big mama @sophieknowsbetter.” Sophie reposted it and added three blue heart emojis.
Adonis’ mother also shared video of their son speaking in French. “3 yo and already telling me what to do,” she wrote on her IG Story, while revealing a drawing that Adonis made for her. “An accurate portrait by Adonis of my face, in the morning,” she joked.
On Mother’s Day, Drake celebrated mothers everywhere by launching his new line of candles with Better World Fragrance House. “A true passion project and the start of something special @betterworldfragrancehouse is LIVE NOW!” announced Drake.
The four blue candles, which retail for $48, include scents with names like “Sweeter Tings,” “Good Thoughts,” and “Williamsburg Sleepover.”
