JoJo Is Engaged to Dexter Darden

JoJo is feeling the love this Christmas.

The singer is engaged to her boyfriend, actor Dexter Darden. JoJo announced the exciting news on Christmas Day, sharing photos from the surprise proposal.

The “Saved by the Bell” star, 30, asked JoJo to marry him on her 31st birthday at La Concha Resort in Puerto Rico. Dexter pulled out all the stops, even flying out JoJo’s family and friends to witness the romantic moment.

In her Instagram slideshow, JoJo showed off her sparkly diamond ring along with a photo of her sitting in Dexter’s lap under a banner that said, “She said yes.” In her caption, she reflected on spending forever with her new fiancé.

“forever with YOU? Sign me UP. celebrating Christmas a whole fiancé!!!” she wrote. “the most thoughtful, creative, positive, handsome, strong, loving, uplifting human being asked me to marry him. so obviously I said YESSS!!!”

She added, “Thank you for the most epic birthday surprise ever. and for flying out my mom, your mom, and both of our best friends to share in that incredible moment with us. you are one of one. LFG @dexterdarden.”

She received congratulatory messages from fans and friends including Brandy, Tinashe, Jessie J, Snoh Aalegra, and Tiara Thomas.
