Kim Kardashian Slams Critics Over North West Painting

Kim Kardashian is not here for the North West slander.

The beauty mogul has responded to the criticism over her daughter’s scenic oil painting, which has caused quite a stir on social media. The nature landscape, which drew comparisons to famed artist Bob Ross, was so impressive that it caused some to question whether Kim and Kanye’s 7-year-old daughter actually painted it in the first place.

“The fact that kim photoshopped north’s signature on this like girl…. she did not paint that,” wrote one skeptical Twitter user, while another added, “Imma need kim to post a vid of north painting before i believe that bob ross picture was made by a toddler.”

But Kim was not having it. North’s protective mother clapped back at the critics and media in a series of posts on her Instagram Stories.

“DON’T PLAY WITH ME WHEN IT COMES TO MY CHILDREN!!!” she began. “My daughter and her best friend have been taking a serious oil painting class where their talents and creativity are being encouraged and nurtured. North worked incredibly hard on her painting which took several weeks to complete. As a proud mom, I wanted to share her work with everyone.”

She also had a message for those criticizing a child. “I’m seeing op-ed pieces in the media and social media from grown adults breaking down whether or not my child actually painted this! How dare you see children doing awesome things and then try to accuse them of NOT being awesome!?!?! Please stop embarrassing yourselves with the negativity and allow every child to be GREAT!!!”

Added Kim, “NORTH WEST PAINTED THAT PERIOTDDDDDABCDEFGZFDT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Some fans zeroed in on a similar oil painting that North’s best friend Ryan made in June 2019. Kim reposted the tweet, adding, “THEY GO TO THE SAME ART CLASS!!!!”

The alleged daughter of North’s art teacher also came to her defense, revealing that her mother taught her to make a similar painting when she was 7 years old. “My mom taught me how to paint this and she taught North how to paint the same one two weeks ago,” she said in a TikTok video. “She’s been an art teacher for 30 years and everyone who comes through her classes goes through this exact same painting when they’re starting out.”

The artistic gene runs in the West family. Kim also shared some of Kanye’s artwork from when he was a kid. “Shout out to all the proud moms that love to show their baby’s masterpieces,” added Kim.
